The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) issued an RFI to gather input on administering $5,000,000 allocated by Section 2A of Chapter 14 of the Acts of 2025 to reimburse municipalities for extraordinary EMS costs. The RFI requests feedback on evaluation criteria, allowable extraordinary EMS costs, metrics, and use of funds to strengthen EMS capabilities across municipalities. Responses are requested from members of the Massachusetts EMS community (municipalities, ambulance services, EMS organizations) and are due Feb 27, 2026.
