The MTA - NYC Transit has issued an Invitation for Bid to rehabilitate the Governors Island pedestrian bridge and Fender Wharf, including repairs to wharf, timber piles, cap beams, bearings, deck expansion joints, lighting and demolition of docks. The procurement is an A+B bidding construction contract with MWBE and SDVOB goals and pre-bid/site visit events scheduled in January 2026. Bid documents are available from the bid source (NYS Contract Reporter/MTA vendor processes) and vendors must be registered with SAM and the MTA vendor portal to obtain solicitation documents.
