Summary
Teapot Dome Irrigation District (TPDID) Pump Station: Construction of an approximate 35-cubic feet-per second (cfs) pump station to serve TPDID located at Avenue 128 and the Friant Kern Canal (FKC). The WORK includes construction of reinforced concrete wetwell and flow meter structure, including excavation and shoring system; associated metalwork; pumping system; pump discharge header with piping, valves, and associated pipeline supports; flow meter; travelling water screen system; surge control system; and electrical, instrumentation and controls system. The pump station will be sited on the new FKC east O&M road; and site improvements include expanding the canal embankment plan area, aggregate base site paving and access road, and fencing. Construction of buried connecting piping between new and existing facilities ranging in size from 12-inch through 36-inches. The WORK also includes the installation of new level monitoring equipment at the existing TPDID Reservoir located approximately 4-miles east of the pump station location along Avenue 128. Four (4) Saucelito Irrigation District (SID) Pump Stations: Construction of four (4) pump stations to serve SID, ranging in capacity from approximately 11 cfs to 25 cfs. The SID pump stations are located adjacent to the FKC at Avenue 120, Avenue 104, Avenue 88, and Road 192. The WORK includes construction of reinforced concrete wetwell and flow meter structures, including excavation and shoring systems; associated metalwork; pumping systems; pump discharge header with piping, valves, and associated pipeline supports: flow meter; travelling water screen system; and electrical, instrumentation and controls system. The pump stations will be sited on the new FKC west O&M road; and site improvements include expanding the canal embankment plan area, aggregate base site paving and access road, and fencing. The work at SID-S1 and SID-S3 includes filling the old FKC with compacted fill and culvert pipelines. Construction of buried connecting piping between new and existing facilities ranging in size from 12-inch through 60-inches including removal and replacement of existing canal lining, and removal and replacement of County roadways and associated traffic control during construction.
