AvailableFDR Amphitheater Rehabilitation Project focuses on the rehabilitation of a 1,300 SF brick masonry Amphitheater structure and surrounding hardscape in the Borough of Roosevelt. Rehabilitation of the Amphitheater includes replacement of approximately 1,000 individual bricks, repointing of all remaining stable brick facades (approximately 1,075 SF), replacement of 3 brick step sets, and the replacement of 325 SY of exposed aggregate concrete and brick pavement. The project also includes milling and surfacing of all surrounding asphalt pathways and the addition of a new asphalt pathway extension to the existing amphitheater. The project entails other improvements including new electrical outlets and lighting elements at the Amphitheater (in-step lights and two light poles with flood lights) and connecting electrical supply to existing nearby utility shed. An existing bronze monument with natural stone base is to be protected with plywood enclosure for the project duration and the stone base cleaned recaulked. Minor grading is also proposed along the new section of asphalt pathway, and all disturbed soils are to be reseeded and sodded with turf grass. A few shrubs and trees are also proposed to be planted between the Amphitheater and existing utility shed.
