Summary
The City of Charlotte seeks a qualified firm or individual to provide federal lobbying services for the City and the Metropolitan Public Transportation Authority (MPTA), representing their interests before federal legislative and executive branch officials. The selected Contractor must maintain a Washington, D.C.-area office and will be responsible for monitoring federal activity, communicating the City's and MPTA's positions, and pursuing favorable policy, regulatory, and funding outcomes under the direction of the City's Government Relations staff. Services include continuous engagement with Congress and the Executive Branch across priority areas such as aviation, economic development, workforce development, sustainability and environmental quality, transportation infrastructure, housing and community development, planning and land use, public safety, public transportation, stormwater, local government finance and procurement, telecommunications, water and sewer, and other emerging City Council priorities.
