Repair Maintenance Hangar Facility Building 253 PSTE 172022 RFP

National Guard Bureau (NGB)

Work includes construction upgrades to the existing 65,000+ SF facility. Facility currently consists of hangar space, maintenance space, administrative, training, and storage spaces. Existing windows will be replaced throughout the facility with new energy efficient windows. Existing roof will be removed and replaced. The existing bi-parting sliding main hangar doors are to be removed and replaced with new doors. The existing unidirectional sliding phase dock hangar door is to be refurbished and receive new exterior skin. The existing facility shall be upgraded with new plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems with an emphasis on energy efficiency and conservation. The hangar spaces shall be equipped with a fall arrest system. Parking lot will be milled and resurfaced with 1.5" of asphalt. Striping and markings will be applied. This work will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 includes demolition and renovations to the main hangar, shops opening to the rear of the main hangar, and the second floor organizational and admin space. Phase 2 includes renovations to the phase dock hangar, the fabrication shop, and the tire room.
