Evolved SEASPARROW Missile (ESSM) Next Significant Variant (NSV) Sources Sought
The NSV assembly should have capability against current and future threat classes spanning a variety of threat characteristics including velocity (low-speed to high-speed), altitude (sea skimming to high diver), maneuverability (non-maneuvering to high Gravitational (G)-Force maneuvers), and signatures. The missile should be able to work in complex natural, contested, Radio Frequency (RF), Electro-Optical (EO), and/or Infrared (IR) environments. The missile should have the capability to discriminate and resolve between multiple closely spaced targets and to provide threat track measurements to support missile guidance, navigation, and lethality functions. The missile should have the capability to handle threat countermeasures. Respondents shall address their capability to provide a complete missile system, including, but not limited to: Airframe; Propulsion; Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC); Seeker; Kill mechanism; Control actuation for maneuvers; Datalink / communications; Software architecture.
