Summary
Emergency Medical Support and Evacuation (MedEvac) Services. These services include, but are not limited to, comprehensive air and surface medical transport services appropriate for the condition of a sick or injured traveller; providing medical personnel, medical escorts, equipment and transportation that are fully certified and licensed, in accordance with local laws and regulations where operations are performed, to ensure the sick or injured traveller is provided the proper services to be stabilized prior to and during air and surface medical transport. MedEvac transport is to NASA’s hospital of choice, which may be in the United States (US) or elsewhere. Additional medical travel services for the travellers on worldwide travel include, but not limited to, bedside case management and patient advocacy, medical translation and interpretation, uninterrupted hospital admittance and discharge, providing guarantee of payments, repatriation of mortal remains, reservation and call-up service for medical transport to support a Soyuz crew landing event.
