Elk Knob State Park – New Access Areas

Description: The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources – Division of Parks and Recreation is seeking design services for two new access areas at Elk Knob State Park in Watauga County, North Carolina. The work includes entry drives, restroom and maintenance buildings, ADA access trails, parking lots, a picnic shelter, trailheads, and utility connections, with architectural, engineering, or landscape architectural services required. The estimated project budget is $7,212,000 and the solicitation is funded by the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF), with responses due September 1, 2026.
