E-RATE CATEGORY 1

Description: McKinney Independent School District (McKinney ISD, MISD, or the District) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide E-Rate eligible Category 1 services including self-provisioned and leased network, wide area network transport, and internet access to support of the District’s technology infrastructure and connectivity needs. This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks proposers who can provide reliable, scalable, and cost-effective network connectivity that meets the technical specifications, performance requirements, and E-Rate program guidelines described in this document. McKinney ISD participates in the Federal Communications Commission’s E-Rate Program, which provides discounts to eligible schools and libraries for qualifying telecommunications, Internet access, and related services. Through the E-Rate Program, the District seeks to maximize available funding to support reliable, secure, and cost-effective technology infrastructure and connectivity for students, staff, and District facilities. MISD is conducting this solicitation to obtain competitive proposals for E-Rate eligible Category 1 services including self-provisioned and leased network, wide area network transport, and internet access for the applicable funding year. The procurement and any resulting contract(s) shall be conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and E-Rate requirements. Vendors responding to this solicitation must meet all applicable requirements established by the E-Rate Program and shall provide the documentation and information necessary for MISD to complete its E-Rate funding and compliance obligations.
