The proposed work consists of repairing two large portions and a few small areas of a rubble mound breakwater structure that has been damaged from storms since its completion in 1916. There are two (2) repairs areas plus multiple small minor repair areas. Repair Area 1 is approx. 800 F long and Repair Area 2 is approx. 850 F long. Repair Area 2 and the minor repair zones are optional items. Anticipated stone required for Repair Area 1 includes approx. 8,800 tons of 6-10 ton armor stone and for Repair Area 2, includes approx. 5,900 tons of 6-10 ton armor stone. The minor repair areas are isolated locations of damage that are estimated to need 2-3 new armor stones to restore the structure. The repair areas will be constructed with 1.5H:1V side slopes.
