Description: The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is proposing a non-motorized pedestrian pathway connecting Naknek and King Salmon, including pavement markers, signage, striping, drainage improvements, seeding, and continuous paths near the airport and local roads. DOT&PF is soliciting public comments and will hold a public meeting on September 9, 2026, from 6–8 p.m. at the Naknek Native Village Council. Written comments concerning environmental, social, economic, historic, and cultural impacts must be submitted by September 20, 2026; this is an open public-notice/comment solicitation, not a grant program.
