The configuration requires the boilers to operate year-round. Remove and properly dispose of the existing shell-and-tube water heater. Furnish and install electric water heaters and a holding tank to provide the building with adequate domestic hot water.

Detention center two cell renovations and complete domestic water piping replacement. Demolish all existing cold, hot, and hot water return piping, install all new domestic cold, hot, and hot water return piping, replace all existing shut-off valves with new full port bronze ball valves, install new asse 1069 mixing valves for gang showers, replace all existing solenoid valves for cold and hot water supplies to each zone throughout facility.

Work includes plumbing upgrades to the csms restrooms and custodial closet to correct deficiencies in the domestic hot water system and to address vent piping conditions beneath the women s restroom sink. Work includes re-piping a portion of the domestic hot water system serving the restrooms to increase pipe size and allow hot water piping to properly serve the showers instead of tempered water piping; installing balancing valves on domestic hot water recirculation circuits; adding an expansion tank to reduce piping stress and meet code requirements; replacing the strainer and check valve on the domestic hot water recirculation piping within the custodial closet; replacing shower cartridges/valves to properly regulate shower supply temperature and reduce pressure loss caused by calcium buildup from hard water; etc, see attached file.
