DOE Critical Mineral Resource Potential RFP

Description: The Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management is seeking industry collaboration to reuse surplus critical and rare-earth minerals and materials from DOE inventories to strengthen domestic scientific, manufacturing, and energy supply chains. Respondents must describe their technical capabilities, material needs, proposed reuse applications, collaboration plans, and approaches to extraction, reprocessing, regulatory challenges, and waste or byproduct management. This is an Expression of Interest and Sources Sought notice—not a funding opportunity—and DOE will provide no funding or compensation; responses are due by November 2, 2026.
