DNA Analyses - (Request for Quotation)

Description: The contractor shall provide DNA Analyses services. The contractor shall analyze water samples provided by NUWCDIVNPT and/or universities working with NUWCDIVNPT (samples as marked) using standard 16S (bacteria/archaea) and 18S (eukaryotes/microbial fungi) DNA/rRNA analyses protocols. The goal of the testing is to provide a survey of the diversity of microbial lifeforms within the samples, including taxonomic assignments for all reads using available reference databases. All samples will have identification markings applied by the Navy or universities working for the Navy. Those markings should be used to identify samples and the data associated with those samples.
