The purpose for this solicitation is to improve dependability of the wide area network (WAN) by replacing elements of the existing single-vendor redundant WAN with new, vendor-diverse and path-diverse network elements. This will reduce the reliance on a single vendor’s provision of multiple network elements whose actual redundancy is currently opaque to the College and improve the College’s flexibility in provisioning network elements in the future.
