Design-Build services for IRS Fire Alarm Modernization Project

Description: The General Services Administration (GSA) is procuring design-build services to replace and modernize the emergency voice fire-alarm system at the IRS Headquarters Building at 1111 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20224. The work includes new code-compliant fire-alarm addressable devices and phased demolition of the existing devices, with architectural, electrical, fire-alarm, elevator, and historic-preservation disciplines involved. Because the building is fully occupied and functioning, installation and demolition must occur during building off-hours with noise and dust controls.
