Description: The General Services Administration (GSA) is procuring design-build services to replace and modernize the emergency voice fire-alarm system at the IRS Headquarters Building at 1111 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20224. The work includes new code-compliant fire-alarm addressable devices and phased demolition of the existing devices, with architectural, electrical, fire-alarm, elevator, and historic-preservation disciplines involved. Because the building is fully occupied and functioning, installation and demolition must occur during building off-hours with noise and dust controls.

Design and Construction Excellence Program seeks to commission architects, engineers, and construction professionals to maintain and modernize our legacy federal buildings for the next 50 to 100 years of service.
