Design-Bid-Build, P1102 Weapons Magazine and Ordnance Operations Facility, Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, Connecticut

Description: Construction of six (6) containerized long weapons storage (clws), two (2) box g, and one (1) box h earth-covered, high-explosive magazines including overhead cranes, and incidental related work. Magazine construction will consist of foundations, walls, reinforced concrete floors, entrance and loading aprons, grounding and lightning protection systems; intrusion detection systems (ids) and earth-covering. Site preparations include clearing, rock excavation, grading and fill. Construction will impact existing wetlands and requires mitigation. Work also includes construction of new ordnance operations building, truck inspection, sentry building, and demolition of 18 existing magazines, building 524, and building 393.
