DB for Central & South Terminals BHS Make-Up Units

Description: DESIGN-BUILD services for central & south terminals baggage handling system (bhs) make-up units at miami international airport. Seeks the services of one (1) design-build team to modify the existing conveyor line at the south and central terminal systems. The project will add three (3) new make-up units with respective feed conveyor lines. The scope requires structural and architectural ramp-level modifications, enabling the baggage handling system (bhs) to accommodate changes to the existing central main line (cml) 1 and 2, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (mep) and ancillary systems relocations and/or modifications as needed to integrate the new bhs. The selected design-build team shall provide architectural and engineering services, including design, project and construction management, surveying, structural engineering, mep engineering, cost estimates, schedules, building permitting, threshold inspections, construction and construction administration, preparation and approval of shop drawings, start-up and commissioning, as well as any supportive ancillary tasks needed for the successful completion of the project. The scope also includes the selective demolition of existing bhs conveyors and related components, along with the integration, testing and commissioning of new bhs and ancillary systems scheduled to remain.
