Community Psychiatry Residency Training Initiative For New Residents Starting July 1, 2027 (Letter of Interest) *Re-Bid*
Issuing a request for letters of interest (rli) to all fully accredited psychiatry residency programs in state that are currently providing four years of training in adult psychiatry. State Fiscal Year 2027 funding allows for fifteen (15) total new psychiatry residency positions. DMHAS is providing the opportunity for all currently accredited (accredited as of August 31, 2026) New Jersey psychiatry residency programs to apply for this funding for trainees who are starting in July 2027. Each of the State's thirteen (13) psychiatry residency programs are eligible to apply for funding to support one four-year residency position. In addition, funding for another one or two residency positions will be awarded to programs that make this request and demonstrate that they meet requirements in having the capacity to support the additional residency positions. With the opportunity to apply for additional positions, an individual residency program may apply for a total of up to three (3) positions.
