Description: Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Advanced Light Source is conducting market research for a Custom High-Vacuum E-Beam Evaporation System, including installation, for its DOE Office of Science user facility. The preliminary requirements include a roughly 1-meter throw distance, a load-lock for substrates up to 200 mm × 40 mm × 50 mm, an in-situ ±95° motorized tilt stage, dual ion-beam capability, and maximum dimensions of 8 ft × 7 ft × 7.5 ft with 208V three-phase/100A electrical service. Responses to Sources Sought KT-2026-01 are due September 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PDT, and respondents must show relevant delivery experience and identify the instrument’s country of origin.
