Description: The project includes construction of an all-electric central heating and cooling plant for the campus. The primary function of the EHCP is to provide space for the mechanical and electrical equipment that will serve the campus by distributing hot and chilled water to replace the existing co-gen natural gas steam plant. The system includes a thermal energy storage (TES) exterior steel tank that will store 2 million gallons of water. The TES tank is located southeast of the building between the Hearst Gymnasium and Anthropology & Art Practice buildings.
