Construction of Stroubles Creek WWTP 2026 Capital Improvements Project

Replacement of the existing non-potable water pumps with higher capacity vertical turbine pumps with control panels, variable frequency drives (VFDs), level transmitter, and discharge pressure transmitter; replacement of the existing 10" and 30" sluice gates in the secondary clarifier splitter box (Junction Box No. 2); replacement of the sludge/scum collection equipment for Primary Clarifier Nos. 1 and 2 and Secondary Clarifier Nos. 1 and 2 and associated bridges, handrails, center column, feedwell, energy dissipating inlet, baffles, weirs, scum box, and regrouting of clarifier bottom; replacement of the aerated grit chamber equipment in three existing chambers including blowers, bucket elevator, screw conveyor, grit dewatering screw, control panels, air headers, coarse bubble diffusers, aeration swing/swivel joint assemblies, valves, electrical conduits, conductors, and control panels; replacement of the existing primary scum pumping and grinders including concrete equipment pads, VFDs, pressure switches, control panels, priming systems, piping, fittings, valves, and associated appurtenances; replacement of the existing waste activated sludge (WAS) pumps located within Recirculation Pump Station No. 1 with new vertical close-coupled, solids-handling, centrifugal pumps with concrete equipment pads, VFDs, pressure switches, control panels, priming systems, piping, fittings, valves, supports, and associated appurtenances; and, expanding the plant-wide Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System by integrating the operating and alarm signals from existing unit processes/areas including but not limited to screens, influent pumping, grit, primary clarification, aeration, secondary clarification, RAS pump stations, UV, nonpotable system, and solids processing.
