Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) Development (RFP)

Develop a comprehensive and California-aligned Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) to strengthen community resilience to wildfire, support hazard mitigation planning, guide fuel-reduction priorities, and improve coordination with regional, state, and federal partners. Recent fire events, including the Eaton Fire (2025), have highlighted the need for a modernized community wildfire strategy that addresses local fuel loads, evacuation constraints, WUI exposures, and climate-driven fire behavior. The project’s purpose is to reduce wildfire risk, improve operational readiness, enhance public safety, and ensure Sierra Madre is well positioned for state and federal funding opportunities related to wildfire mitigation.
