Community Improvement District Raw Water Main RFP

Description: The Port of the Islands wellfield and raw water main (RWM) date back roughly 50 years to the initial development of Port of The Islands. The RWM extends almost two miles from the water plant and connects to three wells. The RWM pipe is 8-inch asbestos cement (AC) and there are at least seven (7) large leaks and potentially many smaller leaks, see GPRS report. The intent of the project is to provide Port of the Islands with a new HDPE RWM from the wells to the water plant. This is to be accomplished with the full replacement of the approximately 10,500 linear feet of 8-inch AC water main with 10-inch HDPE by directional drill.
