Provide materials, equipment, and labor necessary to complete installation of new flood gate seals and apply a new protective steel coating system on the flood gates at the DWWW fleur water treatment plant. The two (2) flood gates, entrance and exit, are located at the main entrance on the south side of the facility and were originally installed in 1994. Work shall include, but not be limited to, removing existing fasteners, clamp bars, rubber seals, and miscellaneous hardware, replacing the metal fasteners and rubber seals in kind with new materials, reinstalling clamp bars, metal surface preparation, and applying a new steel coating system on all metal surfacing of the flood gates including new hardware and fasteners. Alternate bid 1 includes the lump sum work for materials, equipment, and labor necessary to replace the existing metal fasteners with 18-8 stainless steel hex-drive flat head screws, nuts, and other miscellaneous hardware in lieu of replacing in kind with carbon steel fasteners. Work includes any machining or alterations to the holes in the existing steel clamp bars to match dimensions of the countersink screw heads to achieve a flush surface finish after installation.
