Climate Resilience and Strategic Investment at an East African Port: A GIS-based Risk and Adaptation Framework (Request for Proposals)

Description: Contract for an experienced university, research institution, civil society organizations or consortium in East Africa with expertise in climate resilience, maritime transport, GIS, and infrastructure research. The selected consultant will undertake research to support WRI's broader research under the Research on Infrastructure in Developing Economies (RIDE) programme. The selected consultant will undertake original research that builds on existing evidence, publicly available datasets and stakeholder knowledge to advance understanding of climate resilience and strategic investment at a selected East African por. The consultant will draft a manuscript suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed journal, which will support WRI’s research on strengthening maritime port resilience to climate change in Eastern Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia).
