Cleaning and Redevelopment of Municipal Gravel Packed Well #1 (Request for Proposals)

Description: The project involves cleaning and redeveloping one municipal gravel packed well using a conventional chemical additive cleaning process involving muriatic acid, hexametaphosphate, and sodium hypochlorite. Additional requirements include mobilizing/demobilizing surge equipment, pre- and post-cleaning well performance tests, video taping the screen after cleaning, disinfecting the well per AWWA C654 standards, laboratory testing for bacteria/chlorine, and providing a redevelopment log and summary report. The contractor must also remove, clean, chlorinate, and reinstall or replace approximately four feet of discharge piping, including the air relief valve, check valve, pressure transmitter, and spool pieces, while ensuring proper environmental containment and water neutralization during flushing.
