Central Plume PCE/TCE Soil Vapor Remediation Project

Seeking a qualified environmental firm or contractor to provide land preparation, material placement, monitoring for landfarming activities associated with 71 supersacks of contaminated soil, each averaging approx. 2,500-2,600 pounds.

The W&L Superfund Site is a former electroplating facility that operated from 1940 to 2007. Since 2010, several environmental investigation and remediation activities have been performed at the site, including removal of W&L facility buildings and residual waste materials, excavation and disposal of contaminated site media, and installation of an engineered cover behind residences along Paulette Lane and North Avenue to prevent upwelling of chromium-contaminated groundwater to the ground surface and to prevent direct exposure to chromium-contaminated soil. A PRB was constructed on the downgradient edge of the cover, with the goal of using zerovalent iron (ZVI) to reduce hexavalent chromium (Cr[VI]) to the less toxic trivalent chromium in groundwater before it discharges into Bliss Brook southeast of the W&L property.

Request for proposals for the Community Center Pool Area Vapor Barrier Project, involving interior SPF insulation application (closed cell polyurethane foam with white coatings) and repair work (caulking seams and penetrations) in the pool area.

The Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) issued an Invitation for Bid for the ‘8003 North Hollywood Central Remediation Well Collector Line’ to construct/complete the collector line work associated with the North Hollywood Central groundwater remediation/treatment project. Bids must be submitted electronically via LADWP’s eRSP system and the posting includes LADWP contact information for technical questions. The estimated value range shown is approximately $5,000,000–$15,000,000 and the procurement is for construction works (not a grant).
