This project involves the replacement of all exterior windows in Building 2J. Window replacement includes all operable, non-operable, skylights, curtain wall, and any other window type in the building at all levels. All window replacements will be building code compliant and comply with the most current energy efficiency standards. The existing skylight framing consists of conventional structural steel framing supported by the building’s concrete roof framing. The existing framing directly supporting the skylights has been found to be inadequate for current wind pressures. Additional bracing will be installed around the primary skylight framing as reflected in the construction documents. See attached file.
