The primary objective of this project is to address installing new boiler(s) to serve the summer load of the Vermont Agricultural and Environmental Laboratory, which is served by the State University, Randolph heat plant located in the Facilities Center. The heat to the college campus is shut off during the summer months, typically mid-May to mid-October. This project shall provide Construction Management services for the installation of new #2 oil boiler(s) sized for summer use, initially fed from a temporary fuel oil tank. The conversion of the existing oil boilers from #4 fuel oil to #2 fuel oil, and the replacement of the existing underground oil tanks. The conversion of the existing boilers and replacement of the fuel tanks to occur during the summer and be substantially complete by mid-October 2026.
