City of Brownwood – Bennie Houston Recreation Center Renovation
The City of Brownwood is soliciting competitive sealed bids from general contractors for the renovation of the Bennie Houston Recreation Center located at 505 Cordell Street, Brownwood, Texas. The estimated construction cost is $3,500,000, with a 5% bid bond and 100% performance/payment bonds required. A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for August 6, 2026 at 3:00 PM at the facility, and bids will be publicly opened on August 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Brownwood City Hall.
