Cypher Locks - (Request for Quote) *SOLE SOURCE*
The current access control system (acs), controlled by lenel onguard, is equipped with electrified strikes at all interior doors. These strikes are configured to operate in the fail-safe mode, which all become unsecured in the event of system failure or a power outage. This type of configuration is neither necessary nor desired, as failure of system will not cause a life safety issue. If the system fails, egress from spaces can easily be achieved by utilizing the door level as designed. The doors, however, do not have key cores to allow entrance. Exterior doors to the facility are equipped with magnetic locks, some of which work intermittently. Finally, due to possible system degradation, it is desired to install simplex mechanical locks at entrances to judicial spaces. The contractor must be a certified lenel value added reseller (var) in good standing, authorized to sell, install, and service lenel onguard access control systems and associated hardware (e. G. , lenel controllers, readers, and field panels). See attached file.
