Arivaca Mines Survey

The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting proposals for a cultural resource survey to identify and evaluate historic sites across 60 abandoned mine features as part of the Arivaca Abandoned Mine Lands Remediation Project in Arizona. The contractor must perform intensive archaeological field investigations (10-meter transects with a 50-meter buffer around each mine feature), collect GPS data, and prepare a report evaluating National Register eligibility; fieldwork and a draft report are required within 60 business days with a final report due afterward for a total contract timeline of 140 calendar days.
