ALPO STABILIZATION OF STAPLE BEND TUNNEL

Description: The Department of the Interior, on behalf of the National Park Service, is soliciting a 100% small-business, firm-fixed-price contract for stabilization of the Staple Bend Tunnel at Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historical Site. The work includes tunnel inspection and stabilization planning, rock scaling, fossil inventory, rock-bolt installation, void filling, shotcrete, drainage, signage, and optional 3D scanning and bat-house installation. An organized site visit is scheduled for August 26, 2026, offers are due September 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM MDT, and performance is expected to last approximately 190 days after the notice to proceed.
