Summary
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, on behalf of Albany State University, is soliciting responses from qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) firms for the replacement of the cooling tower at the East Campus Central Energy Plant (CEP) in Albany, Georgia. The existing field-erected cooling tower, original to the 1997 plant construction, has reached the end of its service life and must be replaced with new factory-fabricated steel towers installed on the existing concrete basin, along with new vertical turbine pumps, VFDs, BAS upgrades, and associated electrical work. This is a two-stage, qualification-based selection process, with Stage I RFQ responses due August 7, 2026.
