The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District intends to award a single firm‑fixed‑price Design‑Bid‑Build contract to construct a new Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower, including foundation, steel framing, masonry, metal roof, fire detection and suppression, HVAC, electrical and telecommunications, backup generation, elevator, associated utilities/site work, and demolition of the existing tower. The notice estimates the project magnitude at between $20,000,000 and $40,000,000, with an estimated performance period of 730 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, and specifies bid and payment bond requirements. This posting is currently a presolicitation (solicitation expected on or about 2026-07-15); the formal solicitation and any attachments will be posted on the buyer’s site (SAM/PIEE) and the listing’s inactive/archive date is 2027-06-24.

Work includes, but is not limited to: a. Design of new slatwall console system for center console. B. Demolition and removal of existing center consoles. C. Fabrication and installation of new center console slatwall, mounts, miscellaneous accessories, and equipment. All consoles are to be secured per the ibc for seismic design (assume i factor 1. 5) d. Installation/relocation of electrical circuits and light switches to the new console. All electrical work must be in compliance with faa specification 1217h and faa-std- 019g. E. Installation of new multipoint ground plates and grounding cabling to each section of the new consoles. F. Provide electronic copies of shop drawings and plans. Drawings and plans must be in autocad.
