Acadia National Park - Osprey Nesting Platforms

The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to: bond and ground out the existing power supply lines for the duration of the work. Work will require close coordination with the national park service to allow for operations to continue reliant upon generator power. The contractor is not responsible to supply power during the period of work. Assess the structural integrity and suitability of two designated existing power poles for platform installation. Fabricate and install two osprey nesting platforms sufficient to carry the weight of typical osprey nests and the animals. Structures are to be designed by the contractor and submitted for review by the contracting officer prior to installation. Structures should be affixed in such a way that they are elevated above the existing lines, utilizing the same utility poles carrying the transmission lines. Placement of new utility poles will not be authorized.
