The City of Rancho Cordova, IT Department is soliciting request for proposals for a business-readable inventory of the data assets maintained within the City’s existing Tyler EnerGov environment..
The purpose of this engagement is to provide City business and technical staff with a clear understanding of:
• What data exists within each EnerGov module used by the City
• What information is standard Tyler/EnerGov versus City-configured or custom
• How the information is structured
• How major data elements and modules relate to one another
• What historical information is maintained
This engagement is for data discovery and documentation. The City is not requesting a data dump, data migration, new integration, report development, or system development as part of this scope.
The City of Rancho Cordova uses Tyler EnerGov to support a range of business functions, including permitting, planning and land use, inspections, code enforcement, business and professional licensing, properties and parcels, fees and payments, workflows, and related activities.
Over time, the City’s EnerGov environment has incorporated standard Tyler functionality as well as City-specific configurations, terminology, workflows, custom fields, and other data elements. The City is seeking a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of the data maintained within this environment, including how business-facing information corresponds to the underlying technical data structure and how information relates within and across EnerGov modules.
This project will establish foundational documentation that can be understood and used by both City business and technical staff. The resulting inventory, data dictionary, technical mapping, relationship documentation, and visual models are intended to provide a shared understanding of the City’s EnerGov data and support its effective use and management over time.
The City has existing Tyler/EnerGov documentation, reports, exports, configuration materials, and other resources that may support this work. The selected professional will use available documentation and discovery with City staff to document the City’s actual EnerGov environment rather than unnecessarily recreating information already documented by Tyler.
