Description: This active special notice announces the Department of Veterans Affairs’ intent to award a sole-source contract for 52 Medtronic rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for PB980 ventilators at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. The batteries are required because they integrate with the facility’s existing Medtronic PB980 ventilator systems, and Covidien Sales LLC (Medtronic) is identified as the OEM supplier.
