Canine Rehabilitation and Life Skills Program (Request for Proposal)

Description: Design, implement, and administer a comprehensive canine rehabilitation and life skills program. The purpose of this program is to improve inmate rehabilitation and successful community reintegration by utilizing rescued dogs as part of a structured life skills curriculum. Through the care, training, and rehabilitation of rescue canines, participating inmates will develop responsibility, accountability, emotional regulation, communication, empathy, patience, problem-solving, and workforce skills that support successful reentry into the community.
