The primary purpose of this Contract is to rehabilitate the connection of sanitary laterals to the mainline\r sanitary sewer using trenchless technology. On typical lateral configurations, the City is looking to cover a minimum of 2 feet into the lateral so that the first joint and mainline connection is covered. If the awarded Contractor is interested, the City is able to include in the Notice of Construction letter, the option to have the lateral liner extended. This additional work would be paid for by the Property Owner and coordinated directly between the Property Owner and the Contractor, if the Owner is interested.
