About this conference
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Acquisition and Logistics Management (OALM), and Small Business Program Office (SBPO) will be hosting the Strengthening Small Business-HBCU Collaborations to Advance Research Conference from June 30-July 1, 2026, at the NIH Natcher Conference Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The conference aims to foster strategic partnerships that expand research capacity, strengthen acquisition pathways, and increase funding opportunities for HBCUs and small businesses. Additionally, the conference will feature panels and breakout sessions explicitly tailored to encourage innovation, exchange knowledge, and advance research in health-related fields. This dynamic conference will host approximately 500 attendees and designed to facilitate collaborations between NIH, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Federal agencies, small and large businesses, as well as private and philanthropic organizations.
