About this conference
Each year, Space Science Week brings together leaders across the space science disciplines to explore the latest developments and discuss the future of the field from a variety of perspectives, from planetary protection to astrophysics to Earth science and applications from space. The Plenary Session on Tuesday, March 24, will feature leaders from NASA and other federal agencies, as well as international representatives from ESA, NSSC, ITLO, and JAXA, sharing insights into recent triumphs, upcoming missions, and emerging opportunities in space exploration. An interactive joint session of CBPSS and CSSP on Wednesday, March 25, will discuss the possibilities of AI for space science, including a presentation and in-person breakout groups. A Public Lecture on Wednesday, March 25, titled "An Instrument Nature Can Play: Data, Sound, and the Work of Imagination in Science," will feature singer Jewel, Prof. Greg Niemeyer, and Dr. Chelle Gentemann, exploring how creativity connects people to their environment through science.
