About this conference
The Academy provides training in broad concepts, initiatives, and emerging school safety trends. Upon completion, attendees become Certified School Safety Specialists. This event focuses on ensuring safe and secure learning environments for students, teachers, and staff, addressing numerous safety and security issues through preparedness, prevention, and intervention. It helps school leaders and partners identify strengths and develop new strategies, with content drawn from recommendations by the 2018 Federal Commission on School Safety, the United States Secret Service, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and experts in mental health, conflict de-escalation, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
