Rescue Challenge 2026

Technical Rescue Association of Virginia (TRAVA) organizes this annual four-day event, providing real-world technical rescue training scenarios for first responders and technical rescue teams. Participants, including local, state, and federal organizations, engage in 8 challenging scenarios designed to enhance their expertise and teamwork in complex situations. These scenarios cover vehicle and machinery extrication, heavy lifting and moving, high-angle rope rescue, trench rescue, building collapse, confined space rescue, and civil unrest, often requiring navigation through difficult and hazardous environments.
