About this conference
The 2026 Post Leaders Workshop (PLW) is designed for Post Leaders to learn new best practices, hone outreach skills, and connect with colleagues and national leadership. The workshop will focus on "What Members Want" based on SAME's recent member survey, providing information and resources including Lessons Learned and Best Practices from Posts. A "SAME 101" session will be offered for new Post Leaders or those needing a refresher on the basics of SAME. The agenda includes an Opening General Session, educational sessions, breakout concurrent sessions by Post size, networking opportunities, and social activities. Key themes covered include industry-government engagement, training and education, leader development, marketing, event planning, delivering solutions, driving partnerships, and succession planning.
