About this conference
The 15th North American Forest Ecology Workshop (NAFEW 2026) aims to bring together researchers, academicians, and managers to foster dialogue and discussion on current issues related to basic and applied research in North American forested ecosystems. The theme, "Growing resilient forests and communities," focuses on innovative science, partnerships, and creative management to maintain resilient forest ecosystems and human communities in the face of climate stress, disturbance, and societal change. The workshop will include plenary talks, scientific presentations, and field trips, broadening its focus to include sub-disciplines such as fire and wildlife ecology.
