About this conference
The 5th Annual New Jersey Forensic Science Education Conference (NJFSEC) is designed to increase middle and high school teachers' and administrators' knowledge of the forensic sciences and to assist them as they develop challenging, innovative curricula for forensic science courses. Each year, NJIT develops a new NJFSEC program led by university professors and practitioners. It emphasizes hands-on, classroom-ready labs in Forensic Biology, Chemistry and Crime Scene Investigation, utilizing custom-built Forensics and Crime Scene Laboratories. Each day features a lunchtime speaker expert in an area of forensics. Special sessions led by high school forensic science teachers provide an opportunity to network and develop curricula. June 30 will have two sections: one focused on topics for teachers new to teaching forensic science and a separate section for more experienced forensics teachers to add to their curricula.
