About this conference
The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER), will host an in-person Midwest Petroleum Exercise. This two-day tabletop exercise will bring together state, federal, and private-sector partners to focus on petroleum supply disruptions during a complex, sustained weather event. Objectives include examining state liquid fuel set-aside programs and procedures, assessing partnerships to address disruptions, enhancing alignment with the Midwest Petroleum Collaborative Framework, and exploring consequence management and cross-sector information sharing impacting sectors like retail, trucking, and agriculture.
